Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is partnering with a privately owned commodities trading company expanding its operations in Monaco. We are assisting in their search for an experienced Senior Biofuel Trader to join their team and drive growth in the biofuels division.

The role involves executing global physical biofuel trading, building supplier and buyer relationships across ethanol, HVO and SAF, and developing risk-aware trading strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in biofuels/biodiesel trading across European/global markets.
• Proven track record of back-to-back physical biofuel trading.
• Strong risk management and hedging expertise in biofuels.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage the physical trading across global markets for biofuels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, refineries, and customers in biofuels markets (ethanol, HVO, SAF).
• Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
• Manage risk exposure using hedging strategies.
• Collaborate with the Directorial team to shape the company’s biofuels trading strategy in the region.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Execute and manage the physical trading efforts of the business across global markets while maintaining the companies already developed European business.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, refineries, and customers within the biofuels markets across ethanol, HVO, SAF and other similar products.
• Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and regulatory changes to identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Manage risk exposure, including market, credit, and operational risks, using hedging strategies.
• Work closely with the Directorial team to develop and implement the company’s strategy for biofuels trading in the region.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 8+ Years of proven experience in Biofuels and/or Biodiesel trading within the European or global markets, ideally with a focus on Monaco or surrounding regions.
• Strong track record of managing physical back-to-back trading in biofuel and understanding of related financial instruments.
• Expertise in risk management strategies, including hedging and exposure management within the Biofuels or Biodiesel markets
• Existing relationships with key producers, refineries, and buyers within the Biofuels industry.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse market trends and execute profitable trades in a fast-paced environment.
