Qualifications

• 4–6 years in business intelligence or analytics.
• 4+ years building solutions in Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with governance, security, and CI/CD in BI.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards, interactive reports, paginated reports, semantic models, and reusable BI assets.
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable, governed, and user-friendly analytical solutions.
• Build and optimize semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Integrate data from multiple platforms, databases, APIs, warehouses, or lakehouse environments into consistent reporting layers.
• Improve dashboard performance, refresh reliability, usability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
• Validate data, calculations, reports, and end-to-end BI solutions through testing, reconciliation, automation, and peer review.
• Troubleshoot data accuracy, report functionality, refresh failures, access, security, and query performance issues.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to speed up requirements analysis, development, documentation, testing, code review, and support while validating outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
• Contribute to BI standards, documentation, release practices, reusable templates, and continuous improvement across the analytics environment.
• Mentor junior developers and share practical BI, automation, and responsible AI practices with the team.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• 4-6 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, database development, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building solutions in Power BI.
• Strong Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Builder, DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and report-design skills.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience developing and optimizing complex queries, views, stored procedures, and transformations.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, data warehousing, semantic layers, and BI performance optimization.
• Experience in testing data, calculations, dashboards, reports, and source-to-report logic before production release.
• Working knowledge of Git‑based source control, branching, pull requests, peer reviews, CI/CD, and environment promotion.
• Understanding of BI security, row‑level security, access controls, governance, and production support practices.
• Comfort using generative AI, coding assistants, or AI‑enabled development tools to improve productivity while independently validating results.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, and leadership.

AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI Embedded, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or similar cloud data and analytics platforms.
• Experience with embedded analytics, deployment pipelines, Direct Lake, lakehouses, warehouses, or dataflows.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, C#, APIs, or metadata‑driven automation for BI development and operations.
• Knowledge of automated testing, data‑quality frameworks, observability, capacity planning, workload optimization, or refresh management.
• Experience creating AI‑assisted workflows, agents, copilots, or reusable accelerators for software, data, or BI development.

• BI delivery becomes faster and more consistent through reusable assets, standards, documentation, and automation.

• AI‑assisted development is used responsibly to reduce manual effort while maintaining strong human review, security, and quality guardrails.
• Business users have clearer, more trusted access to the insights they need to make decisions.
