Job summary

Renesas is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Bengaluru team, building scalable backend services with Node.js, Fastify, and Python. You will design and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices, collaborating across disciplines to ensure reliability and performance.

You will contribute to CI/CD, cloud deployments, and observability, while handling databases and messaging systems to support embedded semiconductor solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience building APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of REST, HTTP, and WebSockets.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, JWT).
• Knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK) and alerting.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and self-driven Backend Engineer to join our growingengineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintainingscalable backend services using Node.js, Fastify, and Python. You will work closelywith cross-functional teams to build APIs, manage data flow, and ensure reliability andperformance of backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Fastify
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers
• Implement automated tests to ensure high code quality
• Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging systems
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members
• Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments
  

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Experience building APIs, microservices, event-driven or distributed systems
• Good understanding of REST, HTTP, and WebSockets
• Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT)
• Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack
