Job summary

Sav Technologies Limited in Gurugram invites an experienced backend engineer to design and build scalable backend systems using Node.js, Next.js, and microservices.

Join a fintech team focused on secure, high-performance software, cloud-native services, CI/CD, and collaboration across product, QA, DevOps, and frontend/mobile engineers.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of backend development experience in agile, high-growth product environments.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js and API frameworks.
• Experience with Next.js API routes, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, messaging queues.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience building cloud-native services, CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and IaC (Terraform preferred).
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills with a product mindset.
• Comfortable in Scrum teams, sprint planning, and cross-functional rituals.
• Ownership, urgency, and accountability in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js, Next.js (API layer), and microservices architecture.
• Lead the development of complex features and own them end-to-end from requirements to release and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, DevOps, and frontend/mobile engineers to deliver seamless experiences.
• Implement robust data models, APIs, and integrations with banking systems and cloud services.
• Optimize performance, ensure system availability, latency, security, and quality across the stack.
• Mentor and support mid and junior engineers, conduct thoughtful code reviews, share best practices.
• Promote clean architecture, domain-driven design, observability, and testing culture.
• Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and agile sprint decision-making.

• Design and build scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js, Next.js (API layer), and microservices architecture.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, DevOps, and frontend/mobile engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Implement robust data models, APIs, and integrations with banking systems, credit bureaus, cloud infrastructure, and internal services.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system availability, latency, security, and quality across the stack.
• Mentor and support mid and junior engineers, performing thoughtful code reviews and sharing best practices.
• Drive engineering excellence by promoting clean architecture, domain-driven design, observability, and testing culture.
• Contribute to technical planning, estimation, and decision-making in agile sprints.

Requirements :

• 6- 8 years of backend development experience in agile, high-growth product environments.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, with strong command of asynchronous programming, performance optimization, and API frameworks.
• Experience with Next.js API routes, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, message queues, and caching (Redis, etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.) and data modeling for scale.
• Experience building cloud-native services and working with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills with a product-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional rituals.
• A sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and take initiative.
