Job summary

Vegroww Consultancy is seeking a Senior Azure Administrator in Mohali to manage cloud environments, lead Azure migrations, and resolve complex issues in a Managed Services setup. You will own administration of Azure compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring, while guiding client implementations and ensuring optimal cost and performance.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience with Azure, Entra ID, and RBAC, plus strong scripting (PowerShell) skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience with strong hands-on Microsoft technologies and Azure administration.
• Solid knowledge of Azure compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring and backup services.
• Experience with Entra ID, RBAC and identity management.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN and hybrid infrastructures.
• Experience in Azure migrations, disaster recovery, troubleshooting and cost optimization.
• Experience in managed services or client-facing technical environments.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Administrator with strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud infrastructure, administration, networking, security, and monitoring. The candidate will manage cloud environments, lead Azure migrations, resolve complex technical issues, and support client implementations in a Managed Services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure environments.
• Administer Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vaults, Azure Monitor, App Services, and Key Vault.
• Configure Azure networking, VPN connectivity, routing, firewalls, and hybrid environments.
• Implement Azure security best practices, identity and access management, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Monitor cloud performance, availability, utilization, security, and cost optimization.
• Manage Azure backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure health.
• Lead Azure migrations, cloud implementations, and technical solution design.
• Handle L2/L3 escalations, incident management, root cause analysis, and SLA compliance.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discovery, and solution architecture discussions.
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and standardize cloud operations.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, security policies, and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior administrators and drive continuous improvement in cloud operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and Microsoft technologies, with strong hands-on Azure administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring, and backup services.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, identity management, and access controls.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience in Azure migrations, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, and cost optimization.
• Experience working in Managed Services or client-facing technical environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience preferred.
