Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud administration experience with Azure and AWS.
• Strong networking knowledge (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPN).
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, and Python for automation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Senior Cloud Administrator (Azure & AWS)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Administrator to design, deploy, and manage our multi-cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security, and cost optimization, and will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures
• Manage identity and access management (IAM/Azure AD) including RBAC, SSO, and MFA policies
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using tools like Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, and third-party solutions
• Manage virtual networks, VPNs, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, Direct Connect)
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
• Manage cloud security posture: patching, vulnerability management, and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.)
• Optimize cloud spend through rightsizing, reserved instances, and cost governance
• Administer storage solutions (Azure Blob/Files, AWS S3/EBS/EFS)
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment automation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues
• Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and runbooks
• Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance across teams
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in cloud administration, with strong hands-on exposure to both Azure and AWS
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale, multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPN, DNS)
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation
• Scripting proficiency: PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS)
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Log Analytics, Datadog, etc.)
• Familiarity with backup/DR tools (Azure Site Recovery, AWS Backup)

  • Implement Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager for high availability and traffic distribution.
  • Manage Azure Storage (Blob, File, Disk, Queue, Table) including redundancy options (LRS/ZRS/GRS/RA-GRS).
  • Configure ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Site-to-Site/Point-to-Site VPNs for hybrid connectivity.
  • Manage disk encryption, backup (Azure Backup), and disaster recovery (Azure Site Recovery).

  • Deploy and manage App Services, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps for application hosting and automation.
  • Administer Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL/MySQL .
  • Configure Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Instances/Registry for containerized workloads.
  • Manage API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hub for integration and messaging architectures.
  • Implement Azure Data Factory pipelines and manage PaaS-based data platforms as needed.
