Job summary

Apexon India is seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Network Engineer to design secure connectivity across AWS and on-premises environments. You will implement AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPNs, VPCs, and enterprise routing within a hybrid work model in Bengaluru.

The role requires hands-on AWS networking and security experience, 8–12 years, with strong problem-solving skills, mentoring, and the ability to lead complex migrations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design secure network architectures across AWS and on‑premises environments.
• Build and operate hybrid connectivity using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, site-to-site VPN, VPC peering, and enterprise routing.
• Configure AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, Security Groups, NAT and internet gateways, network ACLs, Route 53, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, ELB, and NLB.
• Manage Cisco routing and switching, Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 or AWS load balancers.
• Lead network migration and datacenter modernization activities, including cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and cloud connectivity.

Join our Enterprise Infrastructure Practice to build secure, resilient connectivity across AWS and on-premises environments. You will design hybrid networks, support cloud and datacenter migrations, and solve complex connectivity challenges using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, enterprise firewalls, load balancers, and routing technologies. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced network engineer with at least five years of hands‑on AWS networking and security implementation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design secure network architectures across AWS and on-premises environments.
• Build and operate hybrid connectivity using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, site-to-site VPN, VPC peering, and enterprise routing.
• Configure AWS VPCs, subnets, route tables, Security Groups, NAT and internet gateways, network ACLs, Route 53, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, and DDoS protection.
• Manage Cisco routing and switching, Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 or AWS load balancers.
• Lead network migration and datacenter modernization activities, including cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and cloud connectivity.
• Monitor and optimize network availability, performance, capacity, latency, and resilience.
• Support security incidents, disaster recovery exercises, and controlled network changes.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP address schemas, configuration standards, runbooks, and migration documentation.
• Review technical changes and mentor junior network engineers.

Mandatory Skills Required

• 8–12 years of enterprise network and security engineering experience.
• At least five years of hands‑on AWS networking and security implementation experience.
• Strong production experience with AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, site-to-site VPN, VPC peering, and hybrid routing.
• Hands‑on expertise in Amazon VPC, subnets, route tables, Security Groups, NAT gateways, network ACLs, Route 53, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, ELB, and NLB.
• Production configuration and troubleshooting experience with at least two of the following: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, F5
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, segmentation, high availability, and network security.
• Experience with Cisco IOS or NX-OS and Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Panorama, F5 BIG‑IP, or equivalent technologies.
• Ability to execute network changes using documented validation, monitoring, cutover, and rollback plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Nice to Have Skills

• Network or datacenter migration leadership experience.
• Nutanix infrastructure and migration networking experience.
• Knowledge of Nutanix Flow Network Security and microsegmentation.
• Automation experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Experience with SolarWinds or PRTG.
• Nutanix, Fortinet NSE 4/5, PCNSE, or F5 BIG‑IP certification.
