Persistent is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Pune to drive intelligent automation platforms and AI-powered productivity tools. You will partner with engineering, platform, DevOps, and business teams to identify opportunities and implement scalable automation across enterprise systems.

The role requires strong Python skills, hands-on automation experience, and expertise in AI/ML, LLMs, and API integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, AI, or related field.
• 5-12 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python development and scripting.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience building internal tools and engineering productivity platforms.
• Experience with APIs, REST services, and system integration patterns.

About Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team and drive the development of intelligent automation platforms, internal engineering tools, and AI-powered productivity solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, workflow automation, AI/ML technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise system integrations. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable automation solutions, agentic AI applications, developer productivity tools, and intelligent assistants that improve operational efficiency across engineering and business functions.
