Job summary

Pulse Electronics in Nigdi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, is hiring a technical lead for automation projects. You will own each project end to end: design, PLC/HMI programming, procurement, assembly supervision, testing and dispatch.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Electrical/ECE/Instrumentation, 5–6 years in electrical/automation with panel design experience, and hands-on Mitsubishi PLC programming. On-site work at Sec No 25, PCNTDA Nigdi, Pune, with occasional client-site travel.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical/ECE/Instrumentation/Mechatronics or related field.
• 5–6 years of overall electrical/automation experience, with design/build exposure to control panels.
• PLC programming experience, preferably Mitsubishi.
• Electrical schematics in EPLAN or QElectroTech, and drafting in AutoCAD or LibreCAD.
• Hands-on with VFDs, switchgear, relays, timers, and contactors; capable of mixed AC/DC panels.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Program, debug, and commissioning Mitsubishi PLCs (GX Works) and HMIs.
• Select, wire, parameterise, and commission VFDs for motor control; troubleshoot faults on site.
• Prepare BOMs and coordinate with Purchase to source components.
• Check incoming materials and guide wiring technicians during assembly.
• Set quality checklists; run tests before dispatch; write documentation.

About Pulse Electronics

Pulse Electronics is an industrial automation company in Nigdi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, building custom machine control panels. We are also expanding into R&D, product development, and rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser engraving). Small team, high ownership.

About the Role

You will be the technical lead for our automation projects and own each one end to end: design, PLC/HMI programming, procurement, assembly supervision, testing, and dispatch. Domain experts give high-level guidance; day to day, you run projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams in QElectroTech (our EPLAN replacement) and panel layouts in LibreCAD (our AutoCAD replacement). EPLAN or AutoCAD experience is welcome; we will help you switch.
• Program, debug, and commission Mitsubishi PLCs (ladder logic, GX Works) and HMIs.
• Select, wire, parameterise, and commission VFDs for motor control, and troubleshoot drive faults on site.
• Prepare BOMs and work with Purchase to source switchgear, relays, timers, and components on time.
• Check incoming material and guide wiring technicians during assembly.
• Set quality checklists; run continuity, power-on, and logic-sequence tests before dispatch.
• Write documentation, user manuals, and panel legends; research and apply client or international electrical standards (AI tools welcome).

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech (Electrical, E&TC, ECE, EEE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or related).
• 5-6 years of overall electrical / automation experience, of which at least some should be in control panel design or building (not necessarily all).
• PLC programming, preferably Mitsubishi.
• Electrical schematics in EPLAN or QElectroTech, and drafting in AutoCAD or LibreCAD.
• Hands-on experience with VFDs (selection, parameter setting, commissioning).
• Strong practical knowledge of switchgear, protective devices, relays, timers, and contactors; comfortable with mixed AC/DC panels.
• Hands-on at the panel, methodical in fault-finding, able to run projects on your own.

Good to Have

• PCB design.
• Programming other microcontrollers (beyond PLCs).

Compensation

• Fixed: Rs 45,000-60,000/month (5.4-7.2 Lacs/yr), based on experience.
• Variable: 1% of company revenue, paid quarterly; currently expected at about Rs 10,000-20,000/month (1.2-2.4 Lacs/yr). Varies with revenue.
• Fixed + variable: about 6.6-9.6 Lacs/yr.
• Yearly performance bonus: 1-3 months' basic salary (basic is 50% of fixed pay).
• PF and ESI will apply from April 2027, as we move to a private limited company.

Work Details

• Location: Sec No 25, Plot No 107, PCNTDA, Nigdi, Pune 411035
• Timings: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM; Thursday weekly off (moving to Sunday soon).
• Local travel: about 2 times a week to nearby client sites by company or personal two-wheeler; all expenses reimbursed.
• Outstation travel: occasional, at most 2-3 times a quarter, short trips, with travel allowances.
