Job summary

Biozeen in Bengaluru seeks a senior Automation & Instrumentation Engineer to lead pharma automation projects from enquiry to commissioning. You will design plant-level automation architectures, review BOMs, allocate tasks, and ensure error-free programs for clients.

Requires 10–15 years in designing, executing, and qualifying pharmaceutical automation projects, with Bioprocess know-how and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 10-15 years in designing, executing, commissioning, & qualifying pharmaceutical automation projects & CSV.
• Bioprocess automation knowledge.
• Automation expertise in designing biopharma equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand clients requirements and propose good & reliable automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design of Room Layouts, Equipment Layout, System sizing/ footprints.
• Exploring ISA S88 programming standards
• Review of AIT deliverables considering URS and Technical offer.
• Review of Bill of materials (Automation & Instrumentation)
• ERP management for project planning.
• Allocating activities to team and review the status.
• To ensure error free programs to customers.
• Program & Reporting structure Standardization.

Job Description:

• Interacting with Client for understanding the automation constraints/ requirements during enquiry stage to project execution.
• Planning and listing all the Automation & Instrumentation deliverables for each project to manage the timely delivery of drawings/ deliverables as per project plan.
• Allocating activities to team and review each project status.
• Be competent to design the automation architecture for the plant level systems.
• Will review the Automation & Instrumentation BOM done by the engineers with respect to P&IDs and automation architecture.
• Siemens Step 7 PLC (CPU 300 & 400 series) programming.
• Siemens Step 7 Professional PLC (CPU 1200 &1500) programming
• Siemens SCADA programming (WinCC 7.4 or WinCC 7.5)
• Siemens HMI programming (TIA Portal V 14 and above).
• Allen Bradley PLC programming Studio 5000
• Allen Bradley SCADA programming Factory Talk View
• Siemens PCS 7 programming V8.2 and above
• Knowledge in SQL or PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of VB script or C script or visual basic programming
• New product development.
