Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Quality Engineering professional to contribute to end-to-end test automation, across web apps, APIs, microservices, and data-driven platforms. You will work with modern automation frameworks, cloud tech, and CI/CD to improve coverage, reliability, and product quality.

The role calls for strong collaboration, analytical skills, and experience in IT testing within financial services or asset management contexts. Hybrid work is available depending on role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
• Hands-on expertise in modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Serenity, Pytest, Cucumber).
• Experience automating functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing across microservices and cloud-native apps.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of end-to-end test automation solutions across web applications, APIs, microservices, and data-driven platforms. You'll work hands-on with modern automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and CI/CD pipelines while helping improve test coverage, automation reliability, and overall product quality through innovative and scalable testing solutions.

What you offer

• 2+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation, with strong hands-on expertise in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Serenity, Pytest, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Proven experience automating functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across microservices-based and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of modern testing practices, including BDD, TDD, Shift-Left Testing, Risk-Based Testing, and SQL/database validation across data warehouses, lakes, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance test design, automation development, and maintenance, with exposure to AI agents, MCP, and agentic workflows viewed favourably.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, Jira/Xray, and financial services or asset management domains is advantageous.
