Job summary

Jajabor Brand Consultancy is seeking a Senior Associate - Public Policy & PR to join our Delhi-based team. You will analyze government policies, craft strategic narratives, and support clients with policy and communications campaigns in a fast-paced agency setting.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in policy or PR, and the ability to translate complex developments into clear insights and compelling materials for stakeholders and media.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in public policy, public affairs, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of India’s policy, regulatory, media, and government landscape.
• Experience in policy research and strategic communications is preferred.
• Ability to develop strong narratives, policy positions, and communication strategies.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyse government policies, regulations, legislative developments, and industry trends relevant to clients.
• Translate complex policy developments into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
• Develop policy briefs, research notes, position papers, talking points, stakeholder documents, and presentations.
• Identify and map key stakeholders across government, regulators, industry associations, think tanks, media, and other institutions.
• Support clients in developing public policy, government engagement, and communications strategies.
• Develop compelling narratives and identify opportunities to position clients and leadership in policy conversations.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, policymakers, and subject-matter experts.
• Develop media pitches, press releases, briefing notes, opinion pieces, and other communication material.
• Identify media and thought-leadership opportunities and drive outreach.
• Support policy advocacy campaigns, media campaigns, roundtables, events, interviews, and stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor media and policy conversations to identify risks and opportunities for clients.
• Work with clients and internal teams to align policy and PR strategies with business objectives.
• Manage multiple accounts and assignments with high-quality delivery within timelines.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Experience in both policy research/analysis and strategic communications or PR will be preferred.
• Ability to develop strong narratives, policy positions, and communication strategies.
