Job summary

The Mandate Lab in Mumbai seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to craft and execute messaging for political campaigns, public affairs, and strategic initiatives.

You will draft speeches, briefs, press notes, and articles; conduct political research; monitor media and public sentiment; collaborate with strategy, research, creative, digital, and media teams; and translate complex issues into clear narratives while managing multiple projects under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience in Communications, PR, Political Consulting, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, storytelling, and content creation abilities.
• Good understanding of Indian politics, current affairs, media, and public discourse.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
