Job summary

S&A Law Offices in Gurugram seeks an experienced advocate with civil and commercial litigation/arbitration expertise. You will handle cases, draft pleadings, manage client representation, and contribute to research and strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil suits & Commercial Litigation/Arbitration related to road, port, airport, energy, mining sectors.
• Hands-on arbitration work from data assimilation to drafting pleadings and applications before Tribunals and Courts.
• Proficient in case-laws research, legal theory and quantification of claims.
• Drafting petitions challenging arbitral awards and related pleadings/arguments.

Job description

• Candidate should have experience in handling Civil suits & Commercial Litigation/ Arbitration related to road, port, airport, energy, mining sectors;
• Having first-hand experience in handling (either solo or as a part of Team) arbitration from the stage of data assimilation, data discovery, research, calculation of claims, issuance of demand notice, notice invoking arbitration, drafting of statement of claim, statement of defence, counter claim, other related pleadings, applications (before Tribunal as well as Court), evidence, argument Notes, etc.;
• Experience in various models, theories and legal principles regarding quantification of claims;
• Drafting of petition challenging arbitral award and other related pleadings and applications;
• Should have participated/helped or handled cross examination including briefing to seniors;
• Undertaken research work including case-laws research, technical research etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in law.
• Qualified and registered with the Bar Council of India.
• License: Active legal license in the state of practice.
• Strong legal research, drafting and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, error-free, legally robust content.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
