Job summary

Acuity-Knowledge-Partners in Pune, Maharashtra, invites an experienced Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on fund accounting for closed-end private equity funds, feeder funds, SPVs, and co-investments, with emphasis on accurate NAV close processes.

You will review capital activity, calculate management fees, expenses, and waterfalls, and support financial reporting across month, quarter, and year-end; ensuring allocations, valuations, and FX movements are accurate and

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting for closed-end private equity funds.
• Experience with NAV close processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
• Experience reviewing capital activity (calls, drawdowns, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions).
• Experience calculating management fees, fund expenses, and waterfall calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review fund accounting activities for closed-end private equity funds, feeder funds, SPVs and co-investment structures.
• Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end NAV close process, including review of trial balances, accruals, journal entries, expense allocations and investor-level accounting.
• Review capital activity, including capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, transfers, subscriptions, redemptions and investor allocations.
• Calculate and review management fees, fund expenses, organizational expenses, transaction costs and other fund-level accruals.
• Support the preparation and review of carried interest, performance allocation and private equity waterfall calculations in accordance with fund agreements and investment terms.
• Review investment activity, including acquisitions, disposals, realized and unrealized gains or losses, portfolio valuations and foreign exchange movements.
• Analyze and calculate cost of carry, financing costs, commitment fees, interest accruals and other investment-related expenses where applicable.
