Qualifications

  • Experience with IFRS and GAAP as applied to funds.
  • Proven leadership and ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with Investran and other accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fund administrators and team members to ensure accurate fund accounting services.
  • Manage Private Equity and Private Equity Direct Funds across multiple entities.
  • Handle complex P&L allocations across fund structures.
  • Assist teams in waterfall calculations and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated procedures and checklists.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team members.
  • Oversee task allocation and optimize team efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in fund accounting operations.
  • Manage capacity to support new business growth.
  • Act as primary escalation point for client inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in new business pitches and resource planning.
  • Contribute to projects and product development initiatives in fund accounting.

CES is currently looking for an AM/Manager/Senior Manager - Private Equity Fund Accounting. We are looking for 10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 7 years of recent experience in private equity funds.

Shift Timings: 2:00 PM IST to 11:00 PM IST

Job Title: Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager - Private Equity Fund Accounting

The Role

We are seeking an experienced professional in Private Equity Fund Accounting Team in a mid level role. This position will oversee all closed-ended fund accounting operations, working closely with the client's Fund Administrators, Relationship Managers, and Operations Heads within the U.S. The team is responsible for providing comprehensive fund accounting services for closed-ended funds.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting, specifically within the financial services sector. Private equity experience is mandatory, along with a strong understanding of the Private Equity Fund industry and a proven track record in leading and managing teams successfully. Experience with Investran and other accounting platforms would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee fund administrators and team members, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of fund accounting services.
  • Manage a variety of funds, including Private Equity and Private Equity Direct Funds.
  • Handle complex P&L allocations across multiple entities within fund structures.
  • Assist teams in performing waterfall calculations and ensure their accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (or international equivalent).
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 7+ years in Private Equity Fund Accounting.
  • Familiar with PE fund fundamentals
  • Strong experience in Bank debts, bonds, and senior credit instruments is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of the Private Equity industry, including fund structures, accounting principles, and regulations.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and GAAP as they apply to funds.
  • Proficiency with Private Equity accounting platforms such as Investran is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of securities, financial instruments, and fund operations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet deadlines and client expectations.
