Job summary

Cityflo is seeking an Associate Manager – Captain Training & Development to build a skilled, safety-conscious driver workforce through onboarding, training, and development programs. You will partner with HR and Operations to implement learning initiatives across Delhi and other cities as needed, while primarily supporting Mumbai operations.

The role demands 4+ years in HR/L&D, strong facilitation, and the ability to travel across cities to support training and capability-building for frontline

Qualifications

• 4+ years in HR, Learning & Development, Training, or Employee Engagement.
• Experience with blue‑collar employees, drivers, field workforce, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to run training sessions, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and connect with frontline staff.
• Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel across cities to support training.

Responsibilities

At Cityflo, our Captains (Drivers) are at the heart of our operations. As an Associate Manager – Captain Training & Development, you will be responsible for building a skilled, safety-conscious, and customer-focused driver workforce through structured onboarding, training, engagement, and development initiatives.

Working closely with HR and Operations, you will drive learning interventions, monitor training effectiveness, ensure policy compliance, and continuously enhance the overall driver experience. While the role will primarily support our Delhi operations, you'll also have the opportunity to build and standardize training practices across other Cityflo locations.

What You'll Do

Training & Capability Development

• Design, coordinate, and deliver structured induction and refresher training programs for Captains.
• Conduct behavioural, customer service, and operational training sessions for new and existing drivers.
• Identify skill gaps through assessments, field observations, and feedback, and develop action plans.
• Standardize training modules, SOPs, and learning material across locations.
• Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning programs.

Captain Onboarding & Experience

• Manage the onboarding journey for newly hired Captains.
• Partner with Recruitment and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and readiness.
• Conduct regular connect sessions to understand Captain concerns and improve their overall experience.

Performance, Compliance & Safety

• Monitor adherence to company policies, operational processes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate driver assessments, refresher programs, and compliance audits.
• Work with Operations to address behavioural issues, customer complaints, and performance concerns through coaching and development.
• Ensure training records, certifications, and compliance documentation are maintained accurately.

Employee Engagement

• Plan and execute engagement initiatives for the Captain community.
• Drive recognition programs and activities that improve motivation, retention, and employee satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with Captains through regular field interactions.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, Recruitment, and external fleet partners.
• Support training initiatives across Delhi and other cities as business requirements evolve.
• Act as the central point of contact for all Captain learning and development initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, Training, or Employee Engagement.
• Experience working with blue-collar employees, drivers, field workforce, logistics, manufacturing, or sales teams.
• Strong experience in conducting training sessions, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and connect with frontline employees.
• Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable travelling across cities to support training and capability-building initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and HRMS platforms.
