Job summary

Insight Advisors Private Limited is seeking a seasoned Fixed Assets Accountant to manage lease and fixed asset accounting using SAP FICO with REFX. You will ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and asset dispositions while maintaining schedules and assisting auditors.

The role requires 5+ years in fixed assets accounting, proficiency in MS Excel, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume transactions. IFRS 16 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fixed assets accounting or relevant experience.
• IFRS 16 – Leases accounting experience or equivalent lease accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Financial Accounting system, REFX module is preferred.
• Proficient in MS-Excel.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Meticulous and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive working attitude and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle high volume transactions.
• Able to multi-task, work independently and meet tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Execute policies, procedures, and processes for accounting of leased assets timely and accurately.
• Execute policies, procedures, and processes for accounting of tangible and intangible assets including capitalization, transfers, and disposals in SAP.
• Maintain fixed assets schedules and monitor Assets Under Construction and Fixed Assets Clearing Account.
• Assist to monitor CAMS transactions and educate users on FA policies.
• Support fixed assets verification and follow up on discrepancies.
• Provide auditors with needed information and address questions.
• Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Description

• Executepolicies, procedures, and processes for accounting and reporting of leasedassets timely and accurately.
• Execute policies, procedures, and processes foraccounting of tangible and intangible assets timely and accurately, including,open PO review, capitalization, transfers, and disposals of fixed assets inSAP, determining fixed assets useful lives and depreciation rates andrecognition of allowance for assets impairment loss. Maintain fixed assetsschedules, including monitoring that Assets Under Construction and Fixed AssetsClearing Account to ensure assets are capitalized on a timely basis.
• Assist to monitor and resolve CAMS transactions,including educating business users on how to use CAMS and FA policies for lostand damage assets.
• Play a key role in driving fixed assetsverification exercise and follow up on discrepancies and variances.
• Provide support to ensure auditors' queries andconcerns are satisfactorily addressed.
• Assist in process improvement and systemsenhancement.
• Any other ad hoc tasks and duties.
