Job summary

Zinca Advisory in Gurugram is seeking an experienced CA/CPA with 4–7 years in accounting advisory to lead end-to-end client work streams across monthly close, financial reporting, and advisory services. You will tackle technical accounting issues (US GAAP/IFRS), manage acquisitions/creations, and drive improvements in controls and reporting while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA required; 4–7 years in accounting advisory in a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client work streams across monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting advisory.
• Address complex technical accounting matters, including US GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead transaction accounting for acquisitions, carve-outs, restructurings, and other corporate actions.
• Prepare and review opening balance sheets and purchase price allocations for business combinations.
• Own monthly reporting deliverables including financial statements, variance analysis, and management commentary.
• Prepare and present budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear commentary on business drivers.
• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and reporting improvements; recommend practical solutions.
• Build sector expertise aligned to the engagement portfolio.
• Review the work performed by junior team members and coach them.
• Take responsibility for the learning and development of 1-2 junior members.
• Contribute to OCFO practice-building (playbooks, training material, process improvements).
• Learn and deploy new-age technologies to enhance insights and efficiency (AI platforms, Power BI, Power Query).
• Establish strong professional relationships with internal/external clients

Job description

1. Lead end-to-end client work streams across monthly close, financial reporting, and accounting advisory
2. Address complex technical accounting matters, including interpretation and application of US GAAP / IFRS
3. Lead transaction accounting for acquisitions, carve-outs, restructurings, and other corporate actions.
4. Prepare and review opening balance sheets and purchase price allocations for business combinations
5. Own monthly reporting deliverables including financial statements, variance analysis, and management commentary
6. Prepare and present budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear commentary on business drivers

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Qualifications: CA / CPA
• Experience: The candidate must have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. Accounting advisory experience is a must.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial skills (US GAAP and IFRS)
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals
• Strong analytical abilities; knowledge of data analytics tools is an added advantage
• Curiosity about and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial analysis and client deliverables
• Ability to present findings clearly to US-based clients in written and verbal form; comfortable with some overlap with Client’s business hours as needed
• Personal drive to deliver accurate, high-quality work under tight reporting and close deadlines
• Intellectual curiosity with the ability to ask the right questions and go beyond the numbers
