Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Associate – Digital Marketing & Communications based in India. We are seeking a proactive, digitally savvy professional to lead website operations and strengthen digital marketing and communications across a mission-driven organization. In this role, you will manage digital platforms, optimize website performance, drive SEO initiatives, and support integrated campaigns that bring research, insights, and social impact stories to wider audiences. You will collaborate with marketing, research, design, growth, and program teams to translate organizational priorities into engaging and measurable digital experiences. From analyzing user behavior to coordinating events and managing external vendors, you will combine technical expertise with creative thinking and project management. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, technology, analytics, and strategy. You will have significant ownership, the flexibility of remote work, and the opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on improving job quality and outcomes for underserved workers.

Accountabilities
  • Website management and digital experience: Own the day-to-day management of the organization’s website and related digital properties, maintaining a roadmap for content updates, technical improvements, and strategic development. Manage CMS and no-code updates for articles, reports, case studies, team profiles, landing pages, and forms, while building reusable page templates and components using Framer, Webflow, WordPress, or comparable platforms.
  • Website quality assurance and technical support: Conduct regular quality checks across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to ensure responsive layouts, working links, functional forms, and consistent user experiences. Identify bugs and technical debt, resolve common issues independently, and coordinate specialist support from developers or vendors when necessary.
  • SEO and digital analytics: Lead on-page SEO activities, including metadata, internal linking, page structure, sitemap management, indexing, and content optimization. Monitor traffic, acquisition channels, engagement, conversions, and priority-page performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, Looker Studio, or equivalent tools.
  • Performance measurement and optimization: Develop recurring performance reports that translate data into actionable recommendations and experiments. Maintain consistent UTM tagging, attribution, and conversion tracking across social media, email, paid campaigns, and partner channels, using performance insights and user feedback to improve website content, architecture, and digital campaigns.
  • Digital campaigns and content operations: Support integrated marketing campaigns across websites, social media, email, and paid channels. Collaborate with content and design teams to adapt research, reports, and organizational updates into engaging digital formats while coordinating editorial calendars, copywriting, design, reviews, approvals, scheduling, and publishing.
  • Campaign systems and paid media: Develop reusable campaign templates, content libraries, checklists, and workflows to improve consistency and reduce last-minute production. Support paid campaigns through platforms such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Meta Business Manager, including campaign setup, tracking, budget monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Digital event support: Create and maintain event landing pages, microsites, registration forms, waitlists, confirmation workflows, and related website components. Configure tracking and analytics, coordinate technical requirements with internal teams and external vendors, troubleshoot integrations and livestream components, and manage pre-event quality checks and post-event updates.
  • Project and vendor management: Translate organizational objectives into structured project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, review stages, and measurable outcomes. Maintain accurate trackers, communicate progress and risks early, and coordinate website, design, development, analytics, and other specialist partners.
  • Technical briefs and quality control: Convert internal requirements into clear scopes of work, acceptance criteria, and consolidated feedback. Review deliverables, conduct final quality assurance, and ensure outputs meet agreed expectations before approval.
  • Documentation and systems management: Maintain standard operating procedures, templates, checklists, screen-recorded walkthroughs, and onboarding resources for recurring digital tasks. Keep an updated inventory of digital tools, ownership, access procedures, use cases, renewal requirements, and associated costs.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing and communications, growth, research, program, and design teams to ensure digital initiatives align with organizational priorities and communicate research and social impact accurately and effectively.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, website management, integrated communications, growth marketing, or a related field.
  • Website and CMS expertise: Hands‑on experience managing a content management system or no‑code website platform, such as Framer, Webflow, WordPress, or an equivalent solution.
  • SEO and analytics proficiency: Strong working knowledge of search engine optimization, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, UTM parameters, conversion tracking, and digital performance reporting.
  • Digital campaign experience: Experience supporting campaigns across websites, social media, email marketing, and/or paid advertising channels, including the ability to coordinate content and measure campaign performance.
  • Technical troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose common website issues, conduct responsive quality assurance, understand digital integrations, and coordinate specialist technical support when needed.
  • Project management skills: Strong organizational and project management abilities, with experience managing competing priorities, dependencies, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication and content skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research and technical information into clear briefs, accessible content, and engaging digital experiences.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities: A data‑driven mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify performance gaps, investigate issues, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Ownership and initiative: A proactive, accountable approach to work, with the confidence to manage digital systems independently, anticipate challenges, and drive projects from planning through execution.
  • Collaboration and adaptability: Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, coordinate external partners, communicate risks early, and operate independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Mission alignment: Genuine interest in social impact, responsible research communication, and initiatives that improve employment opportunities and workplace conditions for underserved communities.
Good To Have, But Not Essential

  • Familiarity with paid media, email marketing, design, and collaboration tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Business Manager, Mailchimp, Figma, Miro, or Canva.
  • Basic understanding of domains, web hosting, DNS, integrations, and website troubleshooting.
  • Experience with information architecture, digital publications, or data‑driven storytelling.

Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement. A strong interest in the role, relevant transferable skills, and a willingness to learn are valued alongside direct experience.
