Job summary

Datahash is seeking a Senior Associate/Assistant Manager for Finance & Accounts in Mumbai, a hybrid role with mostly remote work and in-person days about 8 per month.

You will own day-to-day finance, drive an external accounting partner, and build processes to keep finance running smoothly. Hands-on accounting is required, with Zoho Books and AI-tool familiarity valued.

Qualifications

• CA Inter with 6+ years hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience in statutory compliance across India, UAE, Singapore & US.
• Hands-on Zoho Books experience.
• Comfort using AI tools (Claude) to work faster.
• Experience managing external CA firms or consultants.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly closing with accurate, timely records.
• Invoicing, credit notes and subscription billing; vendor payments.
• Manage external accounting firm; assign work and track deadlines.
• AR management: collections, ageing, disputes and escalations.
• Prepare monthly MIS and finance reports for management.

Senior Associate/ Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts

The Role This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will own day-to-dayfinance, drive our external accounting partner to deliver on time & buildprocesses that make finance run smoothly. We want someone who does the workthemselves & doesn't wait for instructions.

This is a Mumbai-based hybrid role. Work ismostly remote, with in-person days at our Mumbai coworking space as neededroughly 8 days a month.

What You Will Own

Accounting & Close

• Monthly book closure with accurate, timely records
• Invoicing, credit notes & subscription management in ZohoBooks & Zoho Billing
• Vendor payments as per company policy

AR Management

• Own collections end to end: ageing, follow-ups, customerreconciliations & dispute resolution
• Weekly AR tracking & escalation of overdue accounts

Compliance

• Statutory compliance across India, UAE, Singapore & USentities: GST, TDS, VAT, Corporate Tax & other filings, incoordination with external consultants
• Audit support & query resolution

External Partner Management

• Manage our outsourced accounting firm: assign work, trackdeadlines, review output & escalat delays
• Act as the single point of contact between Datahash &external consultants

Process & SOP

• Document finance processes & build SOPs for recurringactivities
• Identify gaps & fix them, not just report them

MIS & Reporting

• Monthly MIS & reports for management
• Maintain finance trackers & the data room

Happy to do any work infinance & accounts, from management presentations to basic data entry,without needing it to match a title

Requirements
