Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a Chartered Accountant with substantial experience to lead day-to-day accounting, AP and MIS across India and the US markets. You will drive financial reporting, budgeting and audits, while collaborating with founders and CXOs on strategic decisions.

You will oversee controls, reconciliations and compliance in a fast-paced startup environment, supporting fundraising and investor reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• CA with 6.58 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in Accounting, AP, MIS, Financial reporting, Audit and Compliance.
• Experience working with India and US markets is mandatory.
• Exposure to startup/SaaS/tech or product-based company is preferred.
• Experience working directly with Founders / CXOs / senior leadership.
• Exposure to Series A / Series B funded companies, fundraising or due diligence is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-driven environment and independently owning finance activities.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting and AP activities and ensure accurate books.
• Prepare and manage MIS, management reports and financial dashboards.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• – Own day-to-day accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) activities and ensure accurate and timely books of accounts.
• – Prepare and manage monthly/quarterly MIS, management reports and financial dashboards.
• – Handle financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

• – Manage and review vendor payments, reconciliations, accruals, provisions and expense accounting.
• – Lead/support financial and tax due diligence for fundraising, investments, business transactions and other strategic initiatives.
• – Prepare financial data, reports and documentation required by investors, auditors, consultants and other external stakeholders.
• – Work closely with Founders, CXOs and Leadership on financial planning, reporting and business decisions.
• – Establish and strengthen financial controls, processes and SOPs as the company scales.
• – Identify financial risks, discrepancies and control gaps and drive corrective actions.
• – Support fundraise-related activities, investor reporting and Series A/B-level financial requirements.
• – Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, tax advisors and other finance partners.
• – Provide financial insights and analysis to support business and strategic decision‑making.

Requirements:

• – Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6.58 years of relevant experience.
• – Strong hands‑on experience in Accounting, AP, MIS, Financial Reporting, Audit and Compliance.
• – Experience working with India and US markets is mandatory.
• – Exposure to Singapore finance operations/compliance is an added advantage.
• – Prior experience in a startup, SaaS, technology or product‑based company preferred.
• – Experience working directly with Founders / CXOs / senior leadership.
• – Exposure to Series A / Series B funded companies, fundraising or investor due diligence is highly preferred.
• – Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, audit processes and regulatory compliance.
