Job summary

Datawrkz is seeking a Senior Associate Finance & Reporting to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in line with Indian accounting standards. The role emphasizes GL and RTR expertise, month-end close, and statutory compliance across GST, TDS, and company laws.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of FR experience, hands-on GL/RTR, and proficiency with Tally; exposure to IFRS/US GAAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Indian Accounting Standards (IGAAP/Ind AS)
• Hands-on General Ledger accounting and RTR processes
• Month-end/quarter-end close activities including accruals, reclassifications, journal entries and financial statements
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and Companies Act compliances
• Experience supporting statutory audits and statutory compliances

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Reporting (FR) Associate with 2- 5years of

experience to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory

compliance in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards. The ideal candidate should have

hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL), Record-to-Report (RTR), month-end close, financial

statement preparation, and statutory compliances.

Must-Have Skills

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (IGAAP or Ind AS).

Hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting. Experience in

Record-to-Report (RTR) processes.

Experience in month-end/quarter-end closing activities, including:

• Accruals
• Prepaid reclassifications
• Journal entries
• Ledger closing
• Preparation of Financial Statements.

Strong understanding of accrual accounting.

Statutory Compliance

Working knowledge of:

• GST
• TDS
• Income Tax
• Companies Act compliances

Experience in supporting statutory audits and statutory compliances.

Core Accounting

• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Bank Reconciliation
• General Ledger Reconciliation
• Journal Entries (including manual adjustments)

Systems & Tools

• Tally (Mandatory)
• Advanced MS Excel:

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

• Exposure to IFRS or US GAAP.
• Experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks.

• Exposure to Budgeting & Forecasting.
• Financial Analysis experience.
• Experience in Process Improvement, Standardization, or Automation initiatives.

• Ability to manage deadlines during month-end closing.

Qualifications

Education: B. Com/M. Com, CA Inter, or MBA (Finance).

Experience: 2-5 years in Finance & Accounting, with good exposure to Indian Accounting Standards.
