ANDRITZ in India invites Diploma Engineer Trainee to join Manufacturing in a 3-shift model at HIB. You will directly work on jobs, processes, plants and machines to deliver direct labour hours (DLH) and support on-site activities with safety and quality as priorities.

You will review drawings/process for manufacturability, maintain discipline and 5S, and pursue kaizen-based cost reductions while coordinating with PPC, QA, DE, maintenance and other functions to hit KPIs.

Formación

• Diploma in Engineering required.
• Experience with manufacturing processes desirable.
• Knowledge of 5S and Kaizen principles is preferred.

Purpose of the Position

To directly work on job, process, plant, machines and to deliver direct labour hours (DLH) for in-house mfg. / on-site activities in assigned shifts (3-shift model)

Role

Responsibility to deliver direct labour hours and maintain safety, quality, on time delivery, cost, productivity, efficiency as per company guidelines / standards and targets

Key Responsibilities

• To work on job, process, plant, machines and to deliver direct labour hours (DLH)
• To review the drawings / process for manufacturability
• To maintain high discipline and safety levels in the mfg. process as per company guidelines / standards
• To deliver the quality product as per quality standards.
• To deliver the component / product as per manufacturing plan.
• To achieve Productivity as per targets
• To achieve efficiency as per targets
• To maintain 5S as per company standards and targets
• To carry out cost savings, cycle time reduction, process improvement through KAIZENs
• Coordination with PPC, QA, DE, Maint., and other functions on need basis for achieving the above KPIs

Authority

• To hold the process / component / product and inform immediately to your department seniors, if it does not correspond to quality standards.
• To work in coordination with White Collar, Blue Collar and contractual employees

Measure of Performance

• Safety No major accident (lost time injury > 1day) As per defined targets
• Productivity % (planned Vs actual hours). As per defined targets
• Efficiency % (TAT Vs DLH) As per defined targets
• COPQ % COPQ cost reduction As per defined targets
• OTD % of deliveries As per defined targets
• No. of kaizens Nos / month As per defined targets
• Absenteeism % In days As per defined targets
• 5S Score on level 0-100 As per defined targets

Competencies

Functional competencies (not exceeding 5)

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Day / shift planning of defined activities to achieve targets based on mfg. plan
• Upgradation of knowledge and enhance multi skilling for flexibility to cater business need
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and drawing understanding skills
