Job summary

Ingrain — beyond Architecture in Mumbai seeks a Senior Architect to lead design from concept through detailed development, coordinating master planning and integration with landscape and urban contexts.

You will manage project workflows, mentor junior team members, review drawings, and ensure sustainability and regulatory compliance while collaborating with clients and consultants to deliver high-quality, data-informed design solutions.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing complex, context-responsive projects.
• Experience in project management, planning and delivery.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software for design and documentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture; registration is preferred.

• Knowledge of sustainable design and green building standards is advantageous.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Architect role based in Mumbai. The Senior Architect will lead architectural design from concept through detailed design, coordinating master planning, spatial planning, and integration with landscape and urban contexts. Responsibilities include managing project workflows, guiding multidisciplinary teams, reviewing drawings and documentation, and ensuring design quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. The role involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders, presenting design proposals, overseeing coordination with consultants, and supporting construction phase services. The Senior Architect will also mentor junior team members, contribute to design standards and processes, and help drive innovation in planning, technology, and data-informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with a portfolio demonstrating complex, context-responsive projects.
• Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of end-to-end architectural consultancy.
• Knowledge of Integration between architecture, urban design, landscape, and building systems, ensuring cohesive and sustainable solutions.
• Familiarity with Software Development concepts and digital tools that support design workflows, data-driven processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, 3D modeling and visualization software).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional registration/licensure is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading medium to large-scale projects across commercial, residential, institutional, or urban sectors.
• Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to sustainable design principles and familiarity with green building standards or certifications is an advantage.
