Job summary

CBRE Business Services Organization (BSO) is seeking a Senior AR Analyst in Hyderabad to partner with client contracts, support invoicing cycles, and drive accurate revenue recognition. The role emphasizes collaboration across RTR/finance leads, variance resolution, and timely communication with management.

Applicants should have 4–6 years in AR, strong Excel skills, and a background in accounting/finance. Real estate exposure is a plus, with the ability to work independently and in a matrix

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of AR experience.

• Accounting/Finance educational background preferred for reporting.
• Experience in SSC/GBS finance operations helpful.
• Exposure to Real Estate sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic accounting and AR processes.
• Generate invoices, credit notes, and debit notes with accuracy per SLA/KPIs.
• Track overdue payments and invoice discrepancies.
• Serve as point of contact for invoicing/AR status with stakeholders.
• Escalate misses in invoicing to ensure proper month-end accruals.
• Leverage Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis.

Job Title – Senior AR Analyst

About The Role

A commercial finance professional is a finance business partner who provides key support to assist management in ensuring a smooth financial operation to support our client contracts. As a trusted business partner, the person will be liaising with multiple functions across the client accounts with CBRE to deliver tasks in accordance with SLAs.

What You’ll Do

• Understanding of basic accounting
• Generating invoices, credit notes, and debit notes while ensuring accuracy & adherence to contractual/client SLA/KPIs
• Reporting and following up on overdue payments and invoice discrepancies
• Acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries on invoicing / AR status
• Highlighting to relevant teams (RTR/ finance lead) if there are misses in invoicing for the month to ensure accruals can be made at month end
• Experience/ knowledge on billing-AR-cash collection cycle is an advantage

What You'll Need

• 4-6 years of experience in AR
• Business Level English proficiency
• Good to have Accounting / Finance educational background (must for reporting roles)
• Good to have prior experience with financial operations in a SSC/GBS environment
• Good to have prior experience working in large, matrix style multi-national companies
• Nice to have knowledge/experience in Real Estate business.
• High degree of familiarity with Excel especially on data massaging functions i.e. Pivots, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIF, Concatenation etc. VBA knowledge is not required.
• Familiar with all Office applications including Word, Outlook & Teams.
• Good to have prior experience with financial data mining software (Eg. TM1) (for reporting team)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A team player, with a collaborative approach to work with various teams within the organization.
• Engaged and committed to continual process improvements.
• Strong communication skills with experience in presenting financial data to management.
• Ability to work in a flexible working environment, especially when needed to join calls with US leadership at night when needed.
