Job summary

CBRE is hiring a Senior AR Specialist in Hyderabad to partner with multiple functions and ensure smooth financial operations for client contracts. You will manage invoicing, collections, and reporting while supporting accruals and SLA/KPI adherence.

The role requires 8-10 years in AR, strong English, and a finance background; advanced Excel skills and TM1 experience are highly valued. The position supports a collaborative, process-improvement driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of AR experience.
• Business level English proficiency.
• Accounting/Finance educational background (required for reporting).
• Experience in SSC/GBS finance operations.
• Experience in large multinational companies.
• Nice to have Real Estate knowledge.
• Strong Excel data-massage skills: Pivots, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIF.
• Familiar with Office apps (Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with TM1 for reporting.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to continual process improvements.
• Strong communication and presenting finance data to management.
• Willing to join US leadership calls at night when needed.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of basic accounting.
• Generating invoices, credit notes, and debit notes with accuracy and SLA adherence.
• Reporting and following up on overdue payments and invoice discrepancies.
• Acting as the point of contact for invoicing/AR status.
• Flagging misses in invoicing to RTR/finance lead to ensure month-end accruals.

Job Title – Senior AR Specialist

About The Role

A commercial finance professional is a finance business partner who provides key support to assist management in ensuring a smooth financial operation to support our client contracts. As a trusted business partner, the person will be liaising with multiple functions across the client accounts with CBRE to deliver tasks in accordance with SLAs.

What You’ll Do

• Understanding of basic accounting
• Generating invoices, credit notes, and debit notes while ensuring accuracy & adherence to contractual/client SLA/KPIs
• Reporting and following up on overdue payments and invoice discrepancies
• Acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries on invoicing / AR status
• Highlighting to relevant teams (RTR/ finance lead) if there are misses in invoicing for the month to ensure accruals can be made at month end
• Experience/ knowledge on billing-AR-cash collection cycle is an advantage

What You'll Need

• 8-10 years of experience in AR
• Business Level English proficiency
• Good to have Accounting / Finance educational background (must for reporting roles)
• Good to have prior experience with financial operations in a SSC/GBS environment
• Good to have prior experience working in large, matrix style multi-national companies
• Nice to have knowledge/experience in Real Estate business.
• High degree of familiarity with Excel especially on data massaging functions i.e. Pivots, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIF, Concatenation etc. VBA knowledge is not required.
• Familiar with all Office applications including Word, Outlook & Teams.
• Good to have prior experience with financial data mining software (Eg. TM1) (for reporting team)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A team player, with a collaborative approach to work with various teams within the organization.
• Engaged and committed to continual process improvements.
• Strong communication skills with experience in presenting financial data to management.
• Ability to work in a flexible working environment, especially when needed to join calls with US leadership at night when needed.
