Job summary

Gallagher in India is seeking an Application Support professional to maintain mission-critical systems in daily operations across global teams. You will gather requirements, manage changes, and prioritize work for SaaS-based applications.

Coordinate with US/UK/India teams, deliver strong customer service, and escalate issues as needed. This role emphasizes collaboration, growth, and a purpose-driven work culture at Gallagher in India.

Qualifications

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

Maintains application systems that are beyond the development stage and running in the daily operations of the firm. May have overall ownership of a product or app, gathering requirements, managing and prioritizing changes. Specializes in configuring and supporting applications (e.g. SaaS). Senior level roles require broad knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through extensive IT work experience and may require professional education or certification.

• Has full proficiency gained through IT Support-related training and considerable work experience.
• Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.
• Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
• Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions.

About you

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Application Support role.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrates scheduling flexibility and the ability to support stakeholders across global time zones, including coordination with US, UK, and India-based teams.
• Possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a production support environment.
• Collaborates effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, product owners, and support resources at all levels.
• Works effectively in a team environment and provides practical guidance to associate and base-level representatives without formal supervisory authority.
• Is self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative to resolve issues, improve documentation, and strengthen support practices.
• Applies sound judgment when assessing issue severity, determining next steps, and escalating complex or high-impact support matters.
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Has strong proficiency in application support operations gained through relevant IT support training and hands-on work experience.
