Job summary

Vanguard's Hyderabad office is seeking a Senior Full Stack AWS Engineer to design and deliver cloud-native Tax platform solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, GraphQL Federation, and modern UI tech. You will focus on platform modernization, microservices, and technical leadership within Agile/DevOps teams.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure applications, collaboration with business and technology teams, and driving engineering excellence through automation, code reviews, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development and back-end design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related; higher degree preferred.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and REST API experience.
• Hands-on GraphQL and Apollo Federation experience.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, IAM, CloudFormation).
• Front-end experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, Node.js.
• Experience with TDD/BDD testing frameworks like Cypress/Jasmine/Cucumber.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Artifactory, Jira).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry).
• Understanding of security, Okta, API security, and identity management.
• Agile/DevOps experience and mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Preferred: GenAI tools, SRE, event-driven architectures, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance with Splunk, CloudWatch, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry.
• Ensure security through Okta and identity management.
• Mentor junior engineers in Agile/DevOps.

Role Summary

Responsibilites

• Design and develop scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Microservices
• Build and maintain federated GraphQL APIs using Apollo Federation/Supergraph
• Develop modern user interfaces using Angular, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Architect and implement API-first solutions using REST APIs and GraphQL
• Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS, IAM, and CloudFormation
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into secure and scalable solutions
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, test automation, TDD/BDD, and best practices
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Artifactory, and Jira
• Monitor application performance and reliability using Splunk, CloudWatch, Honeycomb, and OpenTelemetry

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and back-end architecture.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, or a Master's degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL and Apollo Federation (Supergraph)
• Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS, IAM, CloudFormation)
• Front-end expertise with Angular, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Experience with TDD/BDD testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jasmine, and Cucumber
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools including GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Artifactory, and Jira
