Job summary

Festo India is seeking a high-level product technology expert to provide technical consulting to sales teams across industry segments. You will balance commercial viability with deep product and application knowledge, drive techno-commercial proposals, and support on-site commissioning and training.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in Mechatronics or Electrical/Instrumentation, with hands-on PLC, HMI, servo motor, and network configuration experience for automation projects.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Mechatronics, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering.
• Experience in Pre-Sales Technical Support with project management.
• Experience in sizing and selection of automation components.
• Experience in preparing techno-commercial proposals.
• Knowledge of digitalization/Industry 4.0 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

In this role, you will work as high level product technology expert, provide best technical consulting and solutions for customers applications to the sales teams independent of the industry segments with a strong focus on technologies. You will take commercial considerations fully into account when proposing solutions and detailed technical proposals of application based solutions in the Pre-Sales phase.

• Provides technical support to sales and customers on various applications and production processes of the industry segments
• Visiting Customer with Sales to understand customer applications and techno-commercial requirement
• Prepare customer specific technical concept considering technical feasibility based on deep technical product and application engineering knowledge with Focus on commercial viability
• Discuss and Present technical proposals with customer optimize selection in consultation with customer
• Preparing relevant technical documentation, selection reports application notes etc taking all relevant technical interfaces into consideration for project workout
• Constructively challenges customers opinions and proposes innovative new options, and Creating benefits arguments to help sales win projects based on excellent product and application knowledge.
• Support commissioning of the project at customer site in close alignment with the technical support engineer
• Provides on site technical product training for customers and sales team on various products and technology.
• 8-10 years of experience with Mechatronics or Electrical or Instrumentation engineering background.
• Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, Servo Motor – Driver, Device Integration and Network configuration.
• Experience of 2-3 years working in Servo Motor and Motion Control.
• Experience in Pre-Sales Technical Support with Project management.
• Experience in Sizing and Selection of various Automation components.
• Experience of Preparing Techno-Commercial Proposal
• Experience of working with Pneumatic and Electrical Automation Products
• Knowledge on Digitalization / i4.0 will be added advantage
