Job summary

StackNexus is looking for an Ansible Developer in Pune, Maharashtra, responsible for designing and maintaining automation solutions across infrastructure and DevOps environments. Ansible Developer

Job Description for an Ansible Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automation solutions using Ansible across infrastructure and DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate infrastructure tasks following defined architecture and best practices.
• Partner with Infrastructure and Development teams to translate manual operational workflows into automated, repeatable code.
• Collaborate with Internal Backend and DevOps teams for seamless integration of automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines and internal APIs.
• Optimize automation scripts for execution speed and reliability while ensuring security compliance and idempotent configurations across diverse environments.
• Contribute to the automation delivery lifecycle from requirement gathering to final deployment and maintenance in production.

Preferred Skill Set

• 4+ years of experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with deep proficiency in Ansible (Playbooks, Roles, Modules, and Ansible Galaxy).
• Expert-level proficiency in YAML for Ansible and strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Strong command of Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and automated configuration of network or storage services.
• Ability to interpret complex infrastructure requirements and implement as modular, reusable Ansible roles.
• Extensive experience with Git and managing code within a collaborative environment.
• Experience with Ansible-related tools such as Ansible Lint, Molecule for testing, and Ansible Automation Platform (AWX/Tower).

Technical Requirements (Secondary)

• Familiarity with Storage Management concepts (e.g., SAN/NAS, Object Storage, or Hitachi Storage arrays) to automate storage provisioning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and automation used to deploy dashboards or services in enterprise cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix internals and how automation interacts with system-level APIs and CLI-driven data.
• Experience implementing automation for monitoring agents (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and handling live system alerts via automated remediation.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication to articulate technical constraints to designers and business requirements to developers.

Work Hours

Normal business hours. Expectation to start early to cover PST timezone or start late to cover EST time. Exception subject to manager permission.

Job Type

• Hybrid Working: Minimum 2 days from office (Tuesday and Thursday), but in case of business need and high demand, the manager may request presence on other days.
