Job summary

Eaton in Pune seeks a Senior Analyst - Tax Technology to join our Global Tax team. You will work at the intersection of tax, finance, data, and technology, using analytics, automation, and strong data controls to improve compliance, reporting, governance, and audit readiness globally.

You will collaborate with Tax, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Audit teams to solve complex data challenges and develop scalable solutions that improve how tax data is managed and used.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of tax, accounting, finance systems, data assurance, audit, or analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional qualifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Oracle, FCCS/HFM, SQL, Power BI, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform tax data assurance including validations, reconciliations, control checks, source-to-report traceability, and audit-ready evidence.
• Collaborate with Tax, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Audit teams to solve data challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Monitor data quality, investigate exceptions, perform root-cause analysis, and drive remediation.
• Support global tax reporting and compliance, including legal-entity and revenue reconciliations and FCCS/HFM processes.
• Extract, validate, and analyze financial and transactional data for tax compliance and audits.

• You’ll collaborate with Tax, Finance, Accounting, IT, and Audit teams to solve complex data challenges, strengthen controls, and develop scalable solutions that improve how tax data is managed and used.
• Execute tax data assurance activities, including validations, reconciliations, control checks, source-to-report traceability, and audit-ready evidence.
• Monitor data quality and controls, investigate exceptions, perform root-cause analysis, and drive sustainable remediation.
• Support global tax reporting and compliance, including legal-entity and revenue reconciliations and FCCS/HFM processes.
• Extract, validate, and analyze financial and transactional data for tax compliance and internal and external audits.
• Develop reporting, reconciliation, dashboard, and automation solutions using SAP, Oracle, SQL, Power BI, Dataiku, and Power Automate.
• Strengthen data governance through data lineage, controls, SOPs, data dictionaries, and clear ownership.
• Partner with global stakeholders to improve processes, reduce manual effort, and expand the use of technology and analytics across Tax.

Qualifications

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; CA, CMA/ICWA, or MBA in Finance preferred.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, finance systems, data assurance, audit, or analytics.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Oracle, FCCS/HFM, SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of financial close, AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, reconciliations, controls, and audit support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with Dataiku, Power Automate, automation, data transformation, or master data governance is a plus.
