Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Analyst - Procurement in India to manage POs, supplier coordination and procurement processes within a fast-paced manufacturing setup. The role emphasizes accuracy, reporting, and improving procurement efficiency.

The candidate should have a 3–5 year background in procurement/supply chain, BAAN ERP experience, and strong MS Office skills. Electronics manufacturing exposure is a plus; communication and analytical abilities are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering graduates required.
• 3–5 years procurement/supply chain experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint (PF).
• Excellent communication skills mandatory.
• Experience in procurement end-to-end and order processing.
• Knowledge of BAAN ERP.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• MS Office and MS Outlook knowledge.
• Good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue POs to vendors and follow up for confirmations and on-time payments.
• Coordinate with vendors on delivery status of materials.
• Prepare Open PO and Shortage reports for review.
• Execute core procurement processes accurately for assigned products.
• Meet service levels and inventory targets defined for assigned products.
• Coordinate PO changes with requestors and suppliers.
• Select suppliers for new orders per approved purchasing strategies.
• Maintain and update supplier database.
• Identify and implement procurement process improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve service issues.
• Prepare customized reports for process improvements.
• Handle shortage/excess escalations and urgent receiving issues.

A purchasing professional who can quickly and accurately process purchase orders in a fast-paced environment. Has excellent stake holders service skills and works well in a team to consistently meet challenging performance targets.

What a typical day looks like:

• Timely issuance of POs to Vendors, follow-up for order confirmation and coordination for on time payment to suppliers.
• Coordinating with vendors for actual delivery status of material.
• On time completion of Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report for review.
• To execute core procurement processes efficiently and accurately for assigned products.
• To meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets as defined for the products assigned, validated through procurement metrics.
• Coordinate with Internal Business Partner (requestor) and Supplier for Purchase Order Changes.
• Select supplier for placing new orders in accordance with approved Purchasing strategies.
• Managing supplier's database.
• To identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
• Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.
• Should we include shortage/excess escalation management, co-ordinate and follow thru on urgent receive, past dues management and receiving challenge resolution.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering Graduates
• Experience: 3-5yrs. Procurement / Supply Chain experience preferred
• Mandatory Knowledge of computer software applications, MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint (PF).
• Excellent communication skills - MANDATORY
• Experience in the following domains: Order processing, Supply chain management, Order management, Procurement end to end preferred
• Knowledge of ERP (Preferably BAAN)
• Experience in Manufacturing industry preferably in electronics
• Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
• Good analytical skills
