Job summary

Flex is a leading global design and manufacturing partner. We are seeking a Subject Analyst- MDM to join our Chennai-based team and support records, supplier scorecards, and data integrity across multiple business systems.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, cost and data reporting, and collaboration with warehouse, planning and operations teams. Prior manufacturing exposure is desired; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Prefer minimum of 1 year of experience in materials or related field.
• A background in manufacturing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Create and review efficient procedures for all records, including invoice/purchase orders and relevant documentation.
• Perform general reporting and research activities for score carding of suppliers and keep system updated reflecting current acceptance.
• Enter, update, and maintain information on various business systems and/or departments such as Warehouse, Planning, Operations.
• Maintain logistics records such as inbound/outbound shipments and ensure accurate import compliance for inbound shipments.
• Maintain and update part number database with current details from internal and supplier sources.
• Prepare liability reports for excess/obsolete management and logistics performance.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Subject Analyst- MDM position will be based in Chennai.

Typical Day Looks Like

• Create and review efficient procedures for all records, including invoice/purchase orders and relevant documentation.
• Perform general reporting and research activities for score carding of suppliers and keep system updated reflecting current acceptance.
• Enter, update, and maintain information on various business systems and/or various departments (e.g: Warehouse, Planning, Operations).
• Maintains logistic records such as inbound and outbound shipments, accurate import compliance for inbound international shipments or other logistics information.
• Implement and maintain record-keeping systems to comply with all customs.
• Maintain and update part number database with most up to date part details/master data collected internally and from suppliers.
• Collect and maintain part details and identify mismatches and incompliances.
• Prepare liability reports for excess and obsolete management, commodity risk positions, logistics performance and key focus areas for site or corporate requirements.
• Calculate cost savings & avoidance and provide reports and metrics.
• Pull reports from databases, dashboards, enterprise resource planning system or other relevant systems.
• Preparation of recommendation to management based on the research of data.

What You’ll Need (Required)

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Prefer minimum of 1 year of experience in materials or related field.

A background in manufacturing is desired.
