Job summary

Apex Group in India is seeking a Senior Associate to join our finance team in Pune. You will lead data collection for bookkeeping and prepare primary statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, with notes as needed.

Key responsibilities include analyzing bank transactions, processing invoices, and handling accruals, VAT/GST calculations, and inter-company reconciliations. Strong IFRS/US GAAP exposure is preferred; 5-7 years of accounting experience required.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with IFRS/US GAAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping and periodic primary statements (P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flows, notes).
• Analyze bank transactions and reconciliation on accounting platform/Excel.
• Review invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Understand accruals, prepaid expenses, FAR and revaluations.
• Understand cash, capital and dividend movements.
• Reconcile AP and AR (Inter-company transactions).
• Exposure to trial balance finalization and management accounts in IFRS/US GAAP.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Receipt of required data for the preparation of Book-Keeping and periodic primary statements, namely – P&L account, Balance sheet, Cash-flows & notes as appropriate.
• Analysis of bank transactions and processing/reviewing on accounting platform/excel.
• Analysis and processing/review of invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Clear understanding of accrued & prepaid expenses, FAR & Revaluations.
• Understanding of cash, capital & Dividend movements
• Ability to reconcile AP & AR (Inter-company transactions)
• Exposure to Trial balance finalization.
• Preparation & review of periodic management accounts in multiple GAAPs, mainly in IFRS, US GAAP.
• Exposure to payroll accounting, posting journal entries & VAT/GST calculations/returns.
• Ability to understand and resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.

Qualification And Experience

• Qualification- CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or any course specialized in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience of 5-7 years in accounting.
• Experience of Accounting in IFRS/US GAAP is preferred.
