Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Senior Associate for all locations, Pune region included, to support timely accounting deliverables. You will prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flows and notes while reviewing invoices, expenses, and inter-company transactions.

The role involves payroll postings, VAT/GST considerations, and resolving queries from onshore teams, clients, auditors. You should have 5-7 years of accounting experience with IFRS/US GAAP exposure and professional accounting qualifications such as

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA finance-focused qualification.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with IFRS/US GAAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flows and notes.
• Analyze bank transactions and process/review on accounting platform.
• Analyze and process invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Understand accrued & prepaid expenses, FAR & revaluations.
• Understand cash, capital & dividend movements.
• Reconcile AP & AR (inter-company transactions).
• Assist with trial balance finalization.
• Prepare & review periodic management accounts under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Exposure to payroll accounting, posting journals & VAT/GST calculations/returns.
• Resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Key duties and responsibilities

• Receipt of required data for the preparation of Book-Keeping and periodic primary statements, namely – P&L account, Balance sheet, Cash-flows & notes as appropriate.
• Analysis of bank transactions and processing/reviewing on accounting platform/excel.
• Analysis and processing/review of invoices, expenses, and other transactions.
• Clear understanding of accrued & prepaid expenses, FAR & Revaluations.
• Understanding of cash, capital & Dividend movements
• Ability to reconcile AP & AR (Inter-company transactions)
• Exposure to Trial balance finalization.
• Preparation & review of periodic management accounts in multiple GAAPs, mainly in IFRS, US GAAP.
• Exposure to payroll accounting, posting journal entries & VAT/GST calculations/returns.
• Ability to understand and resolve queries raised by Onshore, Client, Auditor and Director.

Qualification and Experience

• Qualification- CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or any course specialized in Accounting/Finance.
• Experience of 5-7 years in accounting.
• Experience of Accounting in IFRS/US GAAP is preferred.
