Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a finance specialist to drive financial modelling and research for infrastructure projects in the energy sector.

The role requires strong capabilities in market research, risk assessment, and preparing business cases with robust financial projections and data analyses. You will support client interactions and help deliver high-quality consulting work across project phases.

Qualifications

• Requires Masters in Economics or MBA Finance/CFA with engineering background.
• Experience executing financial modelling for infrastructure projects (power, water, oil & gas etc).
• Strong understanding of discounted cash flow modelling and financial statement projections.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial models and data books for engagements.

• Prepare financial models

Requirements

• Masters in Economics or MBA finance/Chartered Financial Analyst with Engineering background
• Executed financial modelling for infrastructure projects preferably for power, water, oil and gas, etc
• Good understanding of discounted cash flow modeling and projections of financial statements and preferably some exposure to valuation
• Experience of some or all of the following: studying trends in energy sector, computing levelized cost of energy, understanding of financial models, market research, preparing PESTLE, business case assessment, risk analysis, econometric projects, etc.
• Ability to model cash flows of new technologies
• 3-5 years of experience largely in financial modelling and analysis
• Bachelor's Degree + 2-4 years experience OR Master's degree. 2-4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.
