Accountabilities Category Execution Support

• Deep dive and understand the requirement well and ensure smooth execution of agreement/contracts on time.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, team members and leaders of the respective category to churn out a commercially beneficial agreement.
• Develop RFX.
• Provide input to the Category Performance framework and provide metrics related to category performance
• Continuously track & monitor the tasks as per the metrics defined.
• Analyze the spending across sub-categories while taking a broader strategic view to optimize the overall output.
• Identify areas of opportunity to reduce waste and establish reduction targets.
• Establishing relationship with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories; Rationalize specification
• Execute the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintain sourcing ethics in accordance with News Corp’s global policies & methodologies
• Work with senior cross-functional internal customers as well as the Business Sourcing Partner to define detailed business requirements with designated business units, prioritizing business requirements and taking them through approval process.
• Execute change management within designated business units to increase utilization of best sourcing practices and procurement solutions
• Assists the Business Sourcing Partner in business unit capacity and demand planning forecasting customer business unit demand
• Check the pipeline tracker regularly and ensure timely execution of agreements post BU stakeholder confirmation.
• Keep the tracker/tools/system up to date without failure.

Vendor Management (Evaluation, Negotiation, Selection, Qualification)

• Support the evaluation, negotiation, selection and qualification of vendors
• Support the negotiation of contracts with selected suppliers leveraging tools/technology or supplier contract template including but not limited to Software as a Service, comprehensive Master Services Agreements, Master License and Service Agreement, Statement of Work, Amendments, etc. and negotiation global preferred supplier agreements, following the legal guidelines.
• Execute SOWs of complex and strategic nature through creation to approval
• Manage escalations to the legal department appropriately, as needed
• Partner with the contract management team regularly

Critical Experiences | Competencies | Abilities

• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent degree required, MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of global sourcing experience, specifically in the facilities, logistics and operations category
• Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing transformation experience (e.g., significant prior experience in all elements of sourcing and category management)
• Embraces fact‐based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
• Proven written and oral communicator, with strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent, unlocking barriers to value for priority spend categories
• Expert negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations.
• Strong project management skills, including adhering to stakeholder timelines, and meeting management skills
• Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms.
• Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization, and works easily in multi-business unit project settings; able to facilitate teamwork across corporate boundaries.
• Contract drafting experience as well as excellent understanding of contractual terms, both commercially and legally.
