Job summary

News Corp in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Analyst – Indirect Sourcing Generalist to lead category execution for facilities, logistics and operations. You will partner with stakeholders to design and execute sourcing strategies, run RFX processes, and drive value for News Corp’s global footprint.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in global sourcing, strong negotiation and contract drafting skills, and comfort operating in a large, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

Accountabilities

Category Execution Support

• Deep dive and understand the requirement well and ensure smooth execution of agreement/contracts on time.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, team members and leaders of the respective category to churn out a commercially beneficial agreement.
• Develop RFX.
• Provide input to the Category Performance framework and provide metrics related to category performance
• Continuously track & monitor the tasks as per the metrics defined.
• Analyze the spending across sub-categories while taking a broader strategic view to optimize the overall output.
• Identify areas of opportunity to reduce waste and establish reduction targets.
• Establishing relationship with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories; Rationalize specification

Vendor Management (Evaluation, Negotiation, Selection, Qualification)

• Support the evaluation, negotiation, selection and qualification of vendors
• Support the negotiation of contracts with selected suppliers leveraging tools/technology or supplier contract template including but not limited to Software as a Service, comprehensive Master Services Agreements, Master License and Service Agreement, Statement of Work, Amendments, etc.; negotiation global preferred supplier agreements, following the legal guidelines.
• Execute SOWs of complex and strategic nature through creation to approval
• Manage escalations to the legal department appropriately, as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent degree required, MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of global sourcing experience, specifically in the facilities, logistics and operations category
• Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing transformation experience (e.g., significant prior experience in all elements of sourcing and category management)
• Embraces fact-based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling
• Proven written and oral communicator, with strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent, unlocking barriers to value for priority spend categories
• Expert negotiator with proven experience in setting negotiation strategies and conducting negotiations.
• Strong project management skills, including adhering to stakeholder timelines, and meeting management skills
• Extensive knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms.
• Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization, and works easily in multi-business unit project settings; able to facilitate teamwork across corporate boundaries.
• Contract drafting experience as well as excellent understanding of contractual terms, both commercially and legally.
