Job summary

BDO India is seeking a Finance & Accounting professional to ensure integrity of financial records, timely reporting, and robust general ledger management. The role will involve daily transaction accuracy, reconciliations, and cooperation with cross-functional teams.

The Senior Analyst will handle complex financial statements, audit coordination, and financial support. On-site work in the Chakan area of Pune is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day accounting functions: AP, AR, and GL maintenance.
  • Utilize SAP/ERP systems to process and monitor financial transactions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing with accurate journal entries.
  • Perform bank, vendor, and inter‑company reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Review data for inconsistencies and provide variance explanations.

Role Objective

We are looking for a dedicated Finance & Accounting professional to ensure the integrity of our financial records and the timeliness of our reporting. This role is centered on maintaining a robust General Ledger, managing month-end closures, and providing clear financial documentation. The Analyst will focus on daily transaction accuracy and reconciliations, while the Senior Analyst will take ownership of complex financial statements, audit coordination, and cross-functional financial support.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA in Finance. Professional qualifications like CA-Inter/ACCA are preferred for the Senior level.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of core experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on, practical experience working with SAP or other leading ERP platforms is mandatory.
  • Attributes: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Core Accounting: Execute day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) maintenance.
  • ERP Management: Utilize SAP / leading ERP systems to process, monitor, and manage daily financial transactions and accounting workflows.
  • Month-End & Year-End Closing: Manage the financial closing cycle, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and prepayments are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Reconciliations: Perform rigorous bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements for management review.
  • Financial Monitoring: Review financial data for inconsistencies, monitor departmental spends against budgets, and provide detailed variance explanations.
