Job summary

Novartis Hyderabad is forming a data enablement team to turn vast data into strategic assets. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with data owners and IT to build data products, ensure data quality, and support the company's data strategy with agile delivery.

Strong SQL, Python, and pharma domain knowledge are essential for shaping insights that drive business decisions. The role emphasizes cross-functional engagement, data modelling, and awareness of AI/GenAI capabilities to optimize activities

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in a Global company as a data analyst, steward, engineer, modeler, or data scientist.
• Domain experience in pharma/ Life Sciences across at least one area: R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing & Sales, Market access.
• Hands-on experience with ETL, DWH concepts, and Python for data prep and analysis.
• Excellent SQL knowledge and willingness to learn new tech stacks.
• Understanding of data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) across modelling methods.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement, including consultation with senior stakeholders.
• Foundational understanding of semantic web, big data, AWS/Azure basics, GenAI/NLP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply data quality and security checks to ensure curated data.
• Ensure data enablement aligned with Data Strategy and DLC products/assets.

Senior Analyst

Location – Hyderabad #LI Hybrid

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Help in creation of data products/business use cases to by working with relevant data owners, systems to solve and enable business team’s decision making.
• Ensure data curation by applying appropriate standard Quality & Security checks
• Ensures the data Enablement to ensure they are fully aligned and support the Data Strategy and the DLC products / assets
• Deliver on data strategy priorities and DLC activities in an AGILE manner with appropriate documentation and communication throughout the delivery of services

Education: Bachelors/ master’s in computer sciences / IT or other quantitative science.

Minimum Requirement:

• 4-6 years of experience in a Global company as a data analyst, steward, engineer, modeler, or data scientist
• Business understanding of pharmaceutical industry and data standards. Domain experience in at least one of the following areas – a) Pharma R&D, b) Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain, c) Marketing and Sales d) Market access and e) Commercial. Experience in working in Pharma / Life Science industry strongly preferred
• Hands on experience in working with ETL process, DWH Concepts, and programming/scripting skills (Python) for data preparation and analysis
• Excellent SQL Knowledge and zeal to learn new technology stacks
• Understanding of data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical) using different data modelling methodologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with consulting and senior stakeholder engagement experience
• Foundational understanding of semantic web principles, big data ecosystem, knowledge of AWS, AZURE Stack and basics of Gen AI, NLP would be an advantage
• Ability to utilize AI for activity optimization would be a plus

What you’ll bring to Role:

• Act as a data person supporting multiple use cases, projects as part of DLC teams collaborating closely with business, data strategy teams and IT
• Bring deep business understanding of pharmaceutical industry and data standards and domain experience that helps to solve the business problems with a deep technical expertise
• Provide Data analytics support to Novartis internal customers (CPOs & Regional marketing and sales teams) on various low-medium complexity analytical reports.
• Support and facilitate data enabled decision making for Novartis internal customers by providing and communicating qualitative and quantitative analytics.
• Support IDS business in building practice by involving in various initiatives like knowledge sharing, on-boarding and training support, support team lead in all business-related tasks / activities, building process documentation and knowledge repositories.
• To be an integral part of a comprehensive Data Enablement team responsible for enabling business Decision.
