Job summary

Northern Trust is hiring for an Analyst II in Bengaluru to support Day to Day operations, risk and compliance awareness, and client servicing across domestic/global accounting postings. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to collaborate with partners on site and across lines of business.

You will contribute to process improvements, participate in audits/BCP exercises, and help train new joiners while maintaining high standards of service and integrity in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Day to day SLA & Quality parameters are met.
  • Handle, expand & resolve queries in a timely manner.
  • Builds a depository of Operations and Domain knowledge within the team.
  • Create/update processes/workflows for business and process improvements.
  • Lead small clusters within the team and monitor deliverables.
  • Perform root cause analysis of errors and implement controls.
  • Provide training to new joiners and existing partners.
  • Identify and implement process improvements with supervisor guidance.
  • Initiate and lead team-building activities.
  • Assist in audits/BCP exercises and compliance awareness sessions.

Major Duties
  • Ensures Day to day SLA & Quality parameters are met. Checklists are prepared and submitted to the supervisor on a daily basis
  • Ability to handle, expand & resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Builds a strong depository of the Operations and Domain knowledge in the team
  • To actively be involved in creating/ capturing process updates/ workflows pertaining to business & process
  • To handle small clusters within the team where deliverables of the cluster are monitored
  • To perform route cause analysis of errors and suggest/implement controls in consultation with the Supervisor/ Manager
  • To provide training sessions to new joiners and existing partners in the team
  • To actively work on identifying and implementing process improvements in consultation with the Supervisor
  • To initiate and lead team building activities within the team
  • To actively participate in Audits/ BCP exercises and to help the supervisor to ensure awareness in the team
  • To assist the supervisor/ Manager in conducting Risk/ BCP/ Compliance awareness sessions
Knowledge/ Skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Possesses good communication & analytical skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with partners on site/ across business lines/ juniors and seniors
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow through. Escalate issues as appropriate
  • A client focused approach
  • Possesses working knowledge of MS Office
  • Exposure and understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance factors
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets with exposure to Hedge funds/ Private Equity/ Comingled Funds/ Fund of Hedge Funds
Experience Required
  • Industry experience of around 2 years and should be open to working in the night shifts.
  • Knowledge of Domestic and Global accounting/Postings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Alternative assets is a plus.
Eligibility
  • 12 months as an Analyst II
