Title: Senior Analyst, Derivatives
Role
  • To manage day to day operations of Derivatives Collateral Management team. Organizes/ assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work. Provides input and support to management in achieving common organizational goals. Participate in technology and process related initiatives, as necessary.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Understands Derivatives trade lifecycle and associated functions.
  • Understands the way Collateral Management function and more closely has an understanding of derivatives markets.
  • Understands the way Collateral Management function works preferably under a custody environment and more closely has an understanding of derivatives markets.
  • Understands the role this function plays in the entire Derivative system / set-up.
  • Knowledge on Passive and Active Collateral Management.
  • Knowledge on Swift, ISDA & CSA’s.
  • Attention to detail, and giving extreme importance to timelines and deliverables.
  • Ability to work constructively under time bound & cut off activities.
  • Ability to communicate with clients (Both internal and external).
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Ability to multitask and work with calm under crunch situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with related departments and Middle Offices.
  • Excellent client management skills.
Principal Responsibilities
  • The principle responsibilities of the Senior Analyst may include, but may not be limited to, the following.
  • Performing day today tasks in Compliance with the Policies & Procedures & meeting the SLA.
  • Perform activities related to Collateral Management such as issuing, monitoring margin calls and process market settlement movements in a accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform analysis on disputes and resolution of the same.
  • Investigate and repair of cash and security exceptions.
  • Communicate and coordinate via verbal and written modes across various partners and external parties to research and resolve exceptions.
  • Swift network relationship establishment.
  • Assist Team Leader in the day to day functioning.
  • Adherence to internal Controls.
Education & Experience
  • Bcom/BBM/MBA (Finance)
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience, preferred.
Eligibility
  • 12 months as an Analyst II.
