Job summary

ShopOS is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to integrate and scale AI models supporting personalization, search, and campaign generation. You will own end-to-end inference and finetuning workflows while collaborating with product and backend teams.

The role requires strong Python/NodeJS skills, deep knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, and API integrations, with comfort in Docker and cloud platforms. Bengaluru-based, mentorship from founders offered.

Qualifications

6+ years in related AI/ML roles.
Expertise in Python or NodeJS.
Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, Diffusers and DiTs.
Experience calling foundation-model APIs and embeddings, RAG patterns.
Proficiency with Git, Agile, CI/CD.
Experience with API integrations and cloud services.
Ability to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical teammates.
Comfort with Docker and basic infra-as-code tools.

About the Role

You’ll work on integrating and scaling AI models in production to power features like personalization, search, and campaign generation.

What We’re Looking For

Overall experience with similar background of 6+ years
Deep expertise in either Python or NodeJS
Advanced understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Diffusers and DiTs
Practical experience calling foundation-model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source LLMs), embedding models, RAG patterns, or agentic frameworks.
Proficiency in Git, agile development, CI/CD
Experience with API integrations
Problem-solving mindset to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced startup
Passion for building revolutionary AI products
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable with Docker, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and basic infra-as-code tools
