Job summary

Wurknow is seeking a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to build a new AI product from scratch. You will work closely with leadership, code daily, and later guide a small team of developers in a hands-on role.

You will design the backend with Python/FastAPI, manage Postgres data models and queries, and build the frontend in React/TypeScript. Expect responsibility for production stability, performance, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1-2+ years of experience building and supporting AI/LLM features in production.
• Strong experience with Python and backend API development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database design, SQL, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Good experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt design, tool/function calling, retries, rate limits, and handling incorrect AI responses.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
• Experience leading or mentoring developers while continuing to code hands-on.
• Experience supporting production applications, including monitoring, incident handling, and root-cause analysis.
• Good written and spoken English.

About the Role

Rumor is hiring for one of their clients, Wurknow, for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer.
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer with 7+ years of software development experience. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python, PostgreSQL, React, and AI/LLM development.

The candidate will build a new AI product from the beginning, work closely with the leadership team, and later guide a small team of developers. This is a hands-on role, so the candidate should be comfortable coding daily and handling production issues.
