Job summary

MetLife in India is seeking a actuarial professional to develop Prophet models meeting global coding standards, and to perform testing to ensure quality in client-facing deliverables. The role includes supporting production activities that deliver actuarial results for reporting and financial assessments.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of actuarial experience, strong English communication skills, and solid business acumen to operate within tight timelines and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop Prophet models to satisfy calculation requirements.

Essential experience, skills and competencies:

• 0-2 years of actuarial experience

• Good business acumen

Advantageous skills and experience:

• An understanding of actuarial reporting software such as Prophet and a good ability to program in various mainstream languages.
• Knowledge of other modeling platforms, for example MoSes, MG ALFA, etc. or strong programming skills (mainly VB, VBA, C++)
• Awareness of Solvency II, IFRS, Economic Capital and Embedded Value.
