Job summary

MetLife in India is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to develop Prophet models and support production activities. You will ensure quality assurance and align models with global coding standards, while delivering results for various reporting requirements.

The role requires 0–2 years of actuarial experience, excellent English communication, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive accurate financial insights.

Qualifications

• An understanding of actuarial reporting software such as Prophet and a good ability to program in various mainstream languages.
• Knowledge of other modeling platforms (MoSes, MG ALFA) or strong programming skills (VB, VBA, C++).
• Awareness of Solvency II, IFRS, Economic Capital and Embedded Value.

About the Role

The Senior Actuarial Analyst role at MetLife involves developing and building actuarial models to meet calculation requirements while maintaining quality assurance and supporting production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Prophet models to satisfy calculation requirements.


• Build Prophet models in line with MetLife's Global Actuarial Modeling Prophet coding standards.


• Perform testing activities to provide quality assurance to the customer.


• Support production activities to deliver actuarial results to satisfy various reporting exercises and various financial impact assessments.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of actuarial experience


• Ability to find solutions within agreed timescales


• Excellent ability to communicate in English, (both written and verbal)


• Good business acumen
