Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Senior Acoustics Specialist to lead R&D across multidisciplinary acoustic domains, including vehicle NVH, structural health monitoring, underwater sonars, and drone detection systems.

You will drive advanced signal processing, test and validate acoustic systems, and guide projects from concept through deployment, leveraging MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, and COMSOL, with hands-on testing and hardware integration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applied structure dynamics, acoustics, and vibration R&D experience.
• Strong domain expertise in vehicle dynamics, sonars, or acoustic threat detection.
• Proficiency in tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, COMSOL, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with acoustic acquisition hardware, transducers, and testing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle NVH: Optimize noise, vibration, and harshness using FEM/FVM/BEM simulation, isolator design & physical testing.
• Signal Processing: Implement advanced DSP techniques for noise cancellation, spatial localization, target classification.
• Health Systems: Develop acoustic emission and vibration-based structural health monitoring.
• Sonar & Detection: Design and test active/passive Sonar systems and acoustic signatures for long-range drone tracking (aero and Underwater).
• Leadership: Manage complex projects from concept to deployment.

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Acoustics Specialist to drive R&D across multidisciplinary acoustic domains, including vehicle NVH, structural health monitoring, underwater sonars, and acoustic drone/UAV detection systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle NVH: Optimize noise, vibration, and harshness using FEM/FVM/BEM simulation, isolator design & physical testing.
• Signal Processing : Implement advanced DSP techniques for noise cancellation, spatial localization, target classification. Trouble shooting and solving Vibration & Noise related issues.
• Health Systems: Develop acoustic emission and vibration-based structural health monitoring.
• Sonar & Detection: Design and test active/passive Sonar systems and acoustic signatures for long-range drone tracking (aero and Underwater)
