Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation, Pune, seeks an experienced finance professional to manage SAP FICO accounting, monthly closings, and revenue/expense reporting in a manufacturing environment. You will handle GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and tax compliance within SAP ECC.

The role requires 6+ years in finance & accounts with hands-on SAP FICO, exposure to Indian statutory requirements, and strong reconciliation skills. This is a full-time on-site position in Pune, India.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter with 6+ years in Finance & Accounts, preferably in manufacturing, with hands-on SAP FICO experience.
• SAP FICO certification/training would be an advantage.
• Experience in SAP ECC and manufacturing accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate recording in SAP.
• Perform closing activities monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Conduct reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Summary

Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns. May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. General Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in SAP.
• Perform Monthly, Quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure proper accounting under applicable Indian Accounting Standards / Ind AS.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

2. SAP FICO

• Hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO modules.
• Process and review transactions relating to:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Cost Center Accounting
• Profit Center Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Review SAP postings and ensure correct GL, cost center, profit center and tax codes.
• Coordinate with SAP support/IT teams for resolving accounting and system-related issues.
• Participate in SAP process improvements, testing and implementation of enhancements.

3. Manufacturing Accounting

• Experience in accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores and Costing teams for inventory-related accounting.
• Analyze material consumption, production variances, and manufacturing overheads.
• Review production and inventory-related accounting entries.

4. Accounts Payable

• Review vendor invoices, debit/credit notes and payment-related transactions.
• Ensure timely vendor reconciliation and resolution of outstanding items.
• Ensure appropriate accounting and documentation for expenses and provisions.

5. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

• Support preparation and reconciliation of GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.
• Perform GST input tax credit reconciliation with books and relevant GST data.
• Ensure correct tax accounting and appropriate tax codes in SAP.
• Coordinate with tax consultants/auditors for statutory requirements.
• Maintain supporting documentation for tax audits and assessments.

6. Fixed Assets

• Maintain fixed asset records in SAP.
• Process capitalization, transfers, disposals and retirements.
• Calculate and review depreciation.
• Perform periodic fixed asset reconciliation with the General Ledger.
• Support physical verification of fixed assets.

7. Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate with internal, statutory and tax auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP FICO.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of the manufacturing accounting cycle.
• Good knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Cost Center Accounting.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS and Indian statutory requirements.
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and data analysis.
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.with 6+years in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a manufacturing environment with hands-on SAP FICO experience
• SAP FICO certification/training would be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
