Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Bengaluru seeks a Record to Report (R2R) professional to manage end-to-end accounting processes and ensure timely financial reporting. You will contribute to month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, uphold SOX controls, and drive automation to improve efficiency across the R2R cycle.

You will work with global stakeholders, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and support internal and statutory audits while maintaining accuracy and adherence to policy and timelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in applying AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and quality.
• Strong understanding of AI use cases in Finance processes.
• Solid accounting principles and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end R2R processes including month-, quarter-, and year-end close.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; reconcile GL and balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain fixed assets register and intercompany accounting; manage intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX; support audits.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency in R2R.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders to deliver timely reporting.
• Ensure SLAs, quality standards, and policy compliance are met.
• Process transactions accurately per SOP and policy.

Job description

The Record to Report (R2R) professional is responsible for managing and executing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, compliance with accounting standards, and continuous improvement of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End R2R Process Management - Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
• General Ledger Accounting - Preparation, review and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Perform Bank and Balance sheet account reconciliations, variance analysis.
• Fixed Assets & Intercompany Accounting - Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Compliance & Controls - Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance. Support statutory audits and internal audits.
• Process Improvements - Identify gaps and implement process improvement initiatives. Drive automation and efficiency improvements in the R2R processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders. Provide timely reporting and insights to management.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and process compliance.
• Process the transactions accurately, in accordance with SOP, Policy and Accepted

Required Skills

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
• Knowledge of AI application in Finance process
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in process improvement projects and AI automation tools.
